There appears to be an apparent trend in this country with the premise if someone says something its true, and if said often enough a lie becomes truth. They realize the press will pick up the sound bite that they want to expound on. Acting on this idiom people like Palin, Bachman, Beck , Hannity and the like spew their poison for their own self aggrandizement, Additionally, the same people who proclaim their Christian virtues are the liars that use this tactic with no remorse for the danger it may put other people in by inciting the crazies. Steven Benen truly sums up this article and expresses my own deepest concerns when he says “My fear, at this point, is that lunacy from deranged politicians and their media allies is going to end up getting someone hurt”. Bachmann got re-elected and Sarah Palin is governor with a following to make her President. It appears the strategy is working.

Ahhh, the nostalgia! It was such fun theater when she got photographed hiding in the bushes spying on a gay rights rally on the state capitol steps, or the time she ran screaming out of the ladies room claiming a pair of lesbians were trying to assault her just because two women asked her a question about her recently ended speech. Of course part of the fun was thinking she was completely harmless, the comic relief in the mounting debacle of neo-con control of this country.

Now she has a national audience. Most of us think that means she’s just making a bigger fool of herself, but I am discomfited by the idea of her as a rallying point for the fruitcakes, and her ongoing publicity as an endorsement of their collective insanity.

I hope someone gives her a “reality show”. Seriously, follow her around for a two week period. To see what her thought process is. Imagine, what would come out of her mouth when she’s NOT prepared. it would be incredible.

The best thing. Someone could sell it to her as a positive for her image. … I think it would work.

Exceptionally concise job hitting the lowlights of Bachmann’s first five months since reelection with surgical precision. It reads more like a rap sheet than a resume.

It seems rather obvious that Bachmann is preparing herself for a 2012 Republican primary challenge to Sarah Palin.
