Wikileaks didn't download it. They didn't have to. Someone had downloaded it, and someone (same or different) sent it to them. Wikileaks posted it, in a more secure form, to get Coleman to acknowledge that it existed.

It is totally over for him already. There is nothing going on strategically here. Whatever is happening regarding the recount and the challenge (and appeal) is Republican strategy coming from the Mother Ship. Norm is only following orders at this point. Following orders is the only way to get some of his bills paid. The party will hang him out to dry.

Jackal, why do you think he has a vested interest in making it look like this isn't his fault? He's already facing an investigation for improper payments to his wife from a supporter and facing the loss of his Senate seat. How much more can he handle?

Well, Mike, he obviously feared that this information coming to light would put a crimp in his fundraising for the endless appeal. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll be right.

I am just waiting with bated breath for the panel to release its rulings; although I anticipate that Coleman will want to file an appeal. Perhaps someone, somewhere will finally convince him that the longer he drags this out the more missteps his campaign is likely to make. He may drag out losing the election, but wind up completely killing his political career. Good for us, of course, but bad for him.

Dang. I'd be furious if I found out that my CC info had been floating around on the internet, someone I had made a transaction knew about it and hadn't warned me. I hope they sue.
